Based on Ernest Cline's book of the same name, Ready Player One is a 2018 American science fiction action movie. Starring Tye Sheridan, Olivia Cooke, Ben Mendelsohn, Lena Waithe, T.J. Miller, Simon Pegg, and Mark Rylance, it is directed by Steven Spielberg from a screenplay by Zak Penn and Cline. In 2045, when the movie is set, a large portion of humanity uses the virtual reality simulation known as the OASIS to escape reality.

The movie now has a 72% acceptance rating and an overall score of 6.8/10 based on 444 reviews on the review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes. The movie has 56 reviews and a weighted average score of 64 out of 100 on Metacritic, which indicates "generally good reviews." In surveys conducted by CinemaScore and PostTrak, viewers awarded the movie an average grade of "A" on a scale from A+ to F, and 82% of them said they would recommend it to others.

Adapted on a narrative by Horowitz, Kitsis, Brian Klugman, and Lee Sternthal, Tron: Legacy is a 2010 American science fiction action film that was directed by Joseph Kosinski and written by Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis. It is a follow-up to Tron (1982), whose director Steven Lisberger made a comeback to produce. The cast also features Garrett Hedlund, Olivia Wilde, James Frain, Beau Garrett, Michael Sheen, Jeff Bridges, and Bruce Boxleitner in their respective roles as Kevin Flynn and Alan Bradley. Sam, Flynn's adult son, replies to a message from his long-lost father and is thrust into a virtual world called "the Grid," where Sam, his father, and the algorithm Quorra must stop the evil software Clu from infiltrating the real world. 

According to 243 reviews on the review aggregation website Rotten Tomatoes, 51% of reviewers awarded the movie a favorable rating. reaching a mean rating of 5.86/10. The average rating for Tron: Legacy at Metacritic, which calculates a normalized rating out of 100 based on reviews from mainstream critics, was 49, based on 40 reviews, indicating "mixed or mediocre reviews."
